I was there in the office with 2 more guys who wanted to the PCC. Once the office was open we approached the Customer Service Desk to get the procedure to apply for a PCC. One of my colleague Shiva was inquiring him as he was talking only in Kannada. i did not know Kannada. Shiva was asking the questions and translating the questions to us in English. He answered only 2 questions and got frustrated. He started shouting at us just because we were not talking to him. He was talking so much that he could have rather explained us the procedure from A to Z.
Finally we got to know the procedure from a notice board. We had to take a Chalan from “State bank of Mysore”. They had mentioned the branch and the location also. When we went to the bank, they gave us the Chalan that was in Kannada. None of us knew how to fill the form in the Bank. We had to wait for the inquiry desk to help us out. That guy filled one form and we all did a “E addichan Copy” from that form. To be frank i did not know where to put the date in that form. Some how or the other we took a chalan and we were back to the commissioner office to request for PCC.
In the application they asked me to fill the nearest police station. Since i had newly moved to that residence i did not know to which jurisdiction was my house in. I asked them. They did not know. A person in Police commissioner office did not know which police station does a specific area come under.
They are yet to realize that “Information is wealth”
All together it was a new experience for me.
