One Indian girl

Chetan Bhagat’s the new book “one Indian girl” was released in the beginning of October. The kindle version was released on 13th of October and I got hold of kindle version as soon as it was release. I completed reading the book in a days time. The author had kept the readers in involved in every page of the book. It was really an interesting book to read. I would not say it is not a book that can be compared to Dan Brown or Jeffrey archer but it is a Bollywood movie written in words.
The author publicise the book with a very small snippet about what the story is about.

Author's Note
Hi. I’m Radhika Mehta and I’m getting married this week. I work at Goldman Sachs, an investment bank. Thank you for reading my story. However, let me warn you: you may not like me too much. One, I make a lot of money. Two, I have an opinion about everything. Three, I have had a boyfriend before. Okay, maybe two. Now, if I was a man, one might be cool with it. But since I am a girl, these three things I mentioned don’t really make me too likeable, do they?

Actually true, it is about an Indian girl who is in a high-profile job, earning more than what an Indian IT people would do abroad and has an opinion about anything and everything. She comes to India for her marriage which is scheduled to happen in Goa. The story is about 5-6 days what is happening in Goa and the marriage and how the marriages affected because of the affairs and sex that happened in the flashback. She is a modern women who earns 6 figure numbers in dollars is trying to find love and family between the men who want to give equal rights to women and but find it difficult to practice in their life. It sounds genuine but it is difficult to digest how men are projected in this novel.

If the story has been written 20 years back it would have been criticised to the maximum extent possible because it is about a girl who is not following the Indian culture and talks about being a feminist. Today,The story sounds very normal and it really talks about some people’s lives broad. I really do not know if this book will be read by the Tamil activists because these are the people who actually booked cases against at actress Khushboo when she said the same thing in the book.

Good read try it.
